So the gf is constatly playing this game on this new website called KaiXin001.com (Kai Xin Wang).  At first glance, this site is a direct copy of Facebook.  This instantly drives me crazy.  I mean, come on, they cant hire a decent designer and come up with something that is not exactly the same as Facebook’s design, minus a red color scheme instead of the Facebook baby blue.  Even the little faded line at the top of the site is the same.  What next, are they gonna transition to the new Facebook design.

They do however have this traffic game that seemed pretty cool, so I checked it out.  The game itself is actually pretty simple and resembles many other little online mini-games that carry Facebook, MySpace and the like.  But this game really does it well.

Basically you start the game with your own parking lot, which has five parking spaces.  You also start owning several cars.  The goal of the game is to earn money and you can get money by either parking your cars in other people’s parking lots or by discovering that other people are parking in your own parking lot and charging for that time.  

One of the coolest things about the game is that it feels alive, mainly because, if you have a lot of friends (and a lot of cars), you can continually find new friend’s parking lots to park your cars in and make as much money as you can.  In addition, you make money per minute of time.  So it’s quite fast paced.  The design of the game is also pretty good, with cool icon graphics for the cars, different background layouts for your own parking lot (which can be purchased) and even a policeman who can be notified when you see something going awry (like if you see a friend park his car in another friend’s parking lot).

All in all, the game works quite well if you have a whole slew of friends signed up for this social network and playing this game nonstop.  Here are some more screenshots:
